A new green hydrogen project in Sliedrecht, Netherlands, is set to make a major impact. Adsensys has teamed up with Smart Energy Hub Sliedrecht to launch a 10MW electrolyzer facility. The project will help boost local green hydrogen production, with plans for future expansion.

Efficient Hydrogen Production with AEM Technology

The facility will use Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) electrolyzers from Enapter, a leading company in hydrogen technology. These electrolyzers will produce about 450 kilograms of green hydrogen per day for every megawatt of capacity. The initial 10MW setup will deliver significant hydrogen output, and the project can expand to 30MW to meet future demand.

Sustainable Construction for Lower Carbon Impact

Instead of using conventional containers, the facility will be built inside a dedicated building. This design aims to reduce the project’s carbon footprint and make maintenance easier. The goal is to create a more sustainable production process and set a new standard for future hydrogen projects.

Public and Private Partnerships Support the Project

The project received financial support through the TSE subsidy from IMC Sliedrecht. This shows how important public and private partnerships are in making large-scale renewable energy projects a reality. Working together, local authorities and businesses can overcome challenges and speed up the transition to cleaner energy.

A Milestone for the Netherlands’ Energy Future

The project’s design phase is set to wrap up by the end of April. It marks an important step in the Netherlands’ efforts to lead the way in sustainable energy. All partners involved are focused on reducing emissions and building a cleaner energy future.
